Onyx Tulum

Found this place because of the Google reviews, and it did not disappoint! Enzo took care of us and he was wonderful. Incredibly friendly, nice and had so many great recommendations and tips for our Tulum stay. He was very attentive, fun and made great food tips and made sure we were enjoying our delicious meal. Tasted so good, great spicy marg. Wonderful music, great vibes! Will be back

The food was simply outstanding and exceeded all expectations. A special thank you to our waiter, Enzo, who made sure we had the best possible experience from start to finish. He was attentive, professional, friendly, and truly went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. Congratulations to the chefs for creating such incredible food. This was without a doubt the best dining experience and the best service I have ever had. On top of that, the prices are very affordable, which makes the experience even more impressive. I highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Food, service, and ambiance were amazing! Our server, Barbara, was incredibly friendly and helpful. She gave us wonderful recommendations that made our trip even more special. The food was absolutely delicious, and everything we tried was excellent. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

It's a nice shaded venue. Your going for the food it won't disappoint. Highly recommend. Drinks are a but strong. I had one margarita and felt light headed. Not sure what rum they use but definitely to strong for me. Great service! And if your staying in Tulum Centro you can probably walk here. I walked from my hotel. I recommend walking the back street because it's a lot more shaded than the front busy street.

Ended up coming in based on other reviews and it did not disappoint! Great ambiance, fantastic food. We had the garlic shrimp and octopus - highly recommend. Fresh, delicious, beautiful presentation. From Madeline, who greeted us to our waiter, Enzo who was friendly and informative - the warm amd engaging staff made us feel so welcome! We’d definitely return!

We randomly found ourselves in Onyx one evening after walking around Tulum and wanting a cool place to eat! We arrived at the right time because all of a sudden there was a fire show which was amazing! It's a bit expensive (but it would be considering its location so its fine) The fish tacos were huge and the ceviche was delicious and exactly what I wanted! Service was wonderful and the atmosphere is amazing! Highly recommend especially in the evening for the vibes!

Incredible service and absolutely delicious food. The restaurant itself is very aesthetic, fresh flowers on the tables, candlelight, and a beautiful ambiance that makes the whole experience feel special. Ambience 10/10. When we arrived there was live music, though we literally caught the last song. After that we could hear the DJ across the street, which I actually didn’t mind — it created a fun, upbeat background vibe while still being distant enough that we could easily have a conversation. The portion sizes were great, and everything we tried was excellent. A must-try is the Black Onyx signature mezcalita — delicious, strong, and the presentation is truly show-stopping. We also didn’t have a reservation and had no issue getting a table, which was a nice surprise. Definitely saving this spot for my next visit to Tulum!

The drinks were fantastic, the food was even better. 10/10 recommend the octopus and the lobster. Agustina was literally the best server I’ve ever had in Mexico and she was so nice letting me practice my Spanish with her. She made our night here even more amazing than it already was. Please show these fantastic people some love.
